In this layout, the tub fits into one end of the room. To allow the door to open, the sink or bathroom vanity cannot extend more than 18 inches from the wall. The best way to arrange 5x8 bathroom designs is to center the door along the long wall.

Two casement windows over the counters allows for plenty of daylight at the mirror. With a shower stall instead of the bath tub, there is space along the 5 foot length wall for a built-in bathroom vanity with counter space and storage area underneath. By making modern bathrooms slightly larger, maybe 5x7 feet, the door can open into the room. If there are children or others who need help in the bathroom, plan a bigger room. 5x5 small bathroom designs are strictly one-person bathrooms. If you are faced with a window over a tub, casement windows with cranks are easier to open than double-hung windows. This is not a good or a safe place for a window, but sometimes it is the only possible location. With a 5 x 5 bathroom layout it is necessary for the door to open out of the room and the window situated window over the tub. Moreover, storage space in modern bathrooms can be carved out in the studs of the wall above both the toilet and the sink. In a room as small as this, there is space for storage if a narrow bathroom vanity is installed instead of a pedestal sink. The latest bathroom tiles design can make a room appear larger.

Nevertheless, the 5x5 small bathroom plan does not provide enough space in front of the tub for easy cleaning. This provides the minimum space needed between the front of sink and the toilet. Just finished cutting the trim that's going in tomorrow. The sink in small bathroom designs can extend from the wall only 15 inches and the toilet only 27 inches. Any questions let me knowĮdit: here's 2 pics You can see the recessed box in the mirror, it's not complete. The room feels bigger because the storage is down low and not in your face. I needed storage and we didn't want to put an over the toilet cabinet up so we went with the vanity with drawers.

If this isn't a primary bathroom and you could do a pedestal sink, you'll be golden when it comes to free space. Using a free standing roll holder until I make a decision on that one. I only have 33" and that extra 7" would have allowed me to mount the toilet paper roll on the side of the vanity comfortably. I'd try and give yourself atleast 40" between the tub and vanity for the toilet. My vanity is slightly too wide, a sacrifice my wife was willing to make in the name of good sinktop space at 31 inches.

Floating vanity by Ikea, euro small toilet by Ariel. I could go on all day about how much I love these vinyl plank floors. I went with lotus leaf green walls, pretty dark considering it's small and there are no windows, but the vanity, sink, tub insert, trim are all pure white and the floor is sterling oak gray vinyl plank floor so the colors balance out very well. Thought it was a pretty clever space saving trick. With the 4 inches of recessed space, I have (3) 8" deep shelves that only protrude 4 inches as to not take up much of the precious free space in the room. On the bare wall across from the vanity and toilet, I cut a big hole in the wall and built a box to make recessed shelves. 64" to the front edge of the tub, 60" wide, same layout except toilet and sink are on left not right. Just redid mine, well almost done that is lol.
